Apple unveiled the new iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, along with smartwatch models Apple Watch 9 and Watch Ultra, at today’s Wonderlust event. We are sharing all the details, including the iPhone 15 price, features, and design.
iPhone 15 Price and Features!
The new iPhone 15 series has surprised everyone with its features that rival the Pro models in many aspects. The device’s front design now uses a Dynamic Notch, just like the Pro models, eliminating the traditional notch. While the rear design remains the same, there are significant improvements in the camera department.
Lightning is gone, USB-C is here!
First of all, let’s mention the exciting change we’ve been waiting for. With the iPhone 15 series, Apple is finally switching to USB-C connectivity. This means that you can now charge and transfer data with a single cable, just like before, with new Mac and iPad models. Moreover, both data transfer and charging speeds are getting an upgrade.
Additionally, since technology companies worldwide use this connection port, you will be able to find many affordable alternative products that can be used with Apple devices and even outside of Apple products. For example, you can charge your computer headphones, keyboard, or mouse with the same cable you use for AirPods, iPad, MacBook, or iPhone.
Screen has changed!
Apple has put an end to the notch design we first saw in the iPhone X in the new iPhone 15 series. Instead, they have transitioned to the Dynamic Notch design we saw in last year’s 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro model.
With this change, it should be noted that the new panel used offers up to 1600 nits of brightness and goes up to 2000 nits in HDR content. However, there is no change in screen refresh rate, which remains at 60 Hz.
Camera is now on par with the Pro models!
The third-largest change that we cannot see from the outside in the new iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models has occurred in the camera department. Instead of the long-used 12-megapixel main camera, a new sensor with a resolution of 48 megapixels, similar to what we are used to seeing in the Pro models, is now being used.
However, it should be noted that it is not the same as the 48-megapixel main camera we saw in the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. Nevertheless, this transition opens the door to many innovations. For example, 2x zoom is now available without a telephoto camera. The 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera remains in place.
Looking at the front, we are greeted by a 12-megapixel selfie camera. Here, we see that the autofocus and portrait lighting features, which we remember from last year’s Pro models, are still being used.
Processor has been upgraded to A16 Bionic!
In the iPhone 14 series, Apple separated the processors for the Pro and regular models for the first time. In the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, they preferred the A15 Bionic processor used in the previous year’s iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max models. Similarly, this year, they used the A16 Bionic processor found in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
